OUR STORY

Charlotte's Web 2008
Galesburg, Illinois
Practically Perfect Performing Arts has a rich history that is deeply intertwined with the Weatherly family's passion for the arts and community. When Glen Weatherly was pursuing a career as an actor in Hollywood, he participated in his church's large musical productions. He also formed a young adult theatre troupe with his church friends, bringing performances to local areas.
His dedication to community theater continued when he served as Associate Pastor in Jacksonville Florida, producing Narnia and Family Outings with church and community members. Glen's work as a producer continued while serving at a church in Illinois in partnership with a high school theatre director, producing shows like You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Charlotte’s Web and Cinderella.

Later, while serving as Lead Pastor in Oregon, he invited the Eastside Theater Company to use his church’s facilities, and they produced a variety of productions, including Narnia, Oliver, Frozen, Willy Wonka and others.

Lydia’s vision for the company was to create magical experiences for children as a character performer, combining enchanting activities like singing, dancing, and games to create unforgettable celebrations.
She soon expanded her artistic reach and is now in college and on staff with Adonai Arts Academy, in Nashville, Tennessee, a program providing classical training in the arts.

Our Values
-
CHARACTER over competition
Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
-
EXCELLENCE over ego
Philippians 4:8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
-
SERVICE over spotlight
Ephesians 5:1-2 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
